Went to the dr yesterday, everything is looking good. I started with the "non-stress test" which basically monitors the baby and my heart rates. I get a jeopardy like button to press each time I feel the baby move.
It's cool because not only do you hear the heart beat the whole time, you also can see the rate and also it monitors when I have a contraction. I have been having light ones for a while now, but they are starting to get stronger and lower.
I have pretty much constant pelvic pressure/pain, which I might think is a sign that it is getting close. I have been walking and keeping active so that I keep everything loose.
I met with one of the midwives yesterday, I really liked her, which is good, because I know that Dr. Johangten will only deliver the baby if she is on call. So hopefully, one of the wonderful midwives will be available if she is not.
All of my vitals are great: BP, weight, fetal heart rate.
She said that if I go into labor at this point, they won't do anything to try to stop it, instead, welcome Peanut. That was like whoa, this is coming soon. So car seat is in the car, the bags are packed and I am about as ready as I will ever be.
I go in next week to find out an estimate of the baby's weight, which will determine the course of action for the rest of the pregnancy....wish me luck!
Thanks for reading!
